The Esterházy Private Foundation in Eisenstadt will present a comprehensive exhibition entitled “Haydn Explosiv”, curated by Herbert Lachmayer, at Esterházy palace. The programme will be supplemented by an international symposium, a gala concert and other events. The renowned jazz guitarist and composer Wolfgang Muthspiel has been commissioned to compose a work incorporating a classical string quartet (world premiere on 4 September 2009) ? an appropriate prelude to the exciting Esterházy String Quartet Festival in October.
